In 1652 the temple was rebuilt as a stone. In 1849, a refectory with chapels of St. Nicholas and the Protection of the Most Holy Theotokos was attached to the church. In 1932, the church was closed, and the following year was demolished. In its place in 1936 a dwelling house of police officers was built according to the project of the Soviet architect Zinovy Rosenfeld [2] .
Standing apart from the five-domed church, the bell tower of the temple was the tallest among its kind in Moscow in the 17th and 18th centuries .
