History
Origins
The PMJ idea came about when Scott Bradley began recording music videos in his living room in New York with his close friends from college. [1]
It took Scott years before he released his first video in May 2009, which became popular: " a medley of '80s songs done ragtime style ." A few hours after the release of the video, the famous English writer Neil Gaiman tweeted about this, which marked the beginning of Scott's popularity [2] . Bradley himself later said this: “ I recorded the video, posted it there [on YouTube - approx.] , And soon more people watched it than they heard my game over the past life ” [3] .
In 2011, another Bradley project, the predecessor of the Postmodern Jukebox, Motown Tribute to Nickelback, appeared. Many performers already appear in this video, who will later take part in PMJ, such as bassist Adam Kubota, drummer Allan Mednard, saxophonist and producer Steve Ujfalussy and a man with a tambourine [4] , Tim Kubart .
2012 - Present
The first Postmodern Jukebox video was a cover of Macklemore & Ryan Lewis ' Thrift Shop "recorded with Robin Adel Anderson. In the first week, the video collected 1 million views, in the first year 4 million. The track was included in the first EP album of the Introducing Postmodern Jukebox project (2013), which ranked eighth in the Billboard magazine's Jazz Album chart. The success was reinforced by the next cover of Miley Cyrus 's song “ We Can't Stop ” in 2013, which led the band to the Good Morning America program in September [5] .
Since 2013, many artists have joined the Postmodern Jukebox, among whom were well-known before joining the project, for example, participants in the American Idol show, Hayley Reinhart and Blake Lewis . In 2015, Haley Reinhart performed a debut cover with PMJ for the song “ Creep ”, which was a huge success.
At different times, Morgan James , Won Smith, Sarah Nimitz, Christina Gatti, Casey Abrams and others also joined the project.

The team tours a lot around the world. For the first time, Postmodern Jukebox came to Russia with a concert on May 14, 2016, also in 2017 they gave two concerts: in St. Petersburg on February 28 and in Moscow on March 1.
