Biography
In the river fleet since 17 years. In 1954-1959 - helmsman, the third navigator of the ships "Stoletov" and "Nikolai Dobrolyubov." In 1963, made his first flight in the captain's rank. The initiator and the first captain on the Ob, who began to drive heavy-duty river convoys.
In the years 1971-1986. captain of the group of the most powerful ships of the West Siberian River Shipping Company. He was the first to make a train of six twin barges - a “deuce” with dimensions of 36 by 300 meters from the Tomsk port to the lower reaches, delivering 18 thousand tons of cargo for the national economy. Then he led to the North giant trains of eight and ten barges coupled in pairs, bringing their total weight to 30 thousand tons.
In 1986-2001 - Head of the shipping inspection of the Ob basin. In 1989, he graduated in absentia from the Faculty of Navigation of the Novosibirsk Institute of Water Transport Engineers (now the Novosibirsk State Academy of Water Transport ).
He lived in Novosibirsk. He was buried at the Zaeltsovsky cemetery .
Rewards
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 2, 1981, for outstanding production achievements, early fulfillment of the tasks of the tenth five-year plan and socialist obligations, he was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle" [1] .
He was awarded two orders of the Badge of Honor (1966, 1973), and medals.
Laureate of the USSR State Prize (4.11.1976). Honored (1998) and Honorary (2001) transport worker of the Russian Federation.
