Description
The length of the front wing is 30.5–38.0 mm. The costal region of the fore wing is 1.8–2.5 times wider than the subcostal region. Pronotum elongated, expanded posteriorly. The head is small, narrower than the pronotum. Head dark, pronotum bright with two longitudinal dark stripes. Sister taxa: Parastenaropodites aquilonius , P. stirps , P. exossis , P. fluxa , P. intricatus , P. circumhumatus , P. panneus , P. rigidus , P. vyatica . The species was first described in 1996 by Russian paleoentomologist Sergei Storozhenko ( Biological and Soil Institute, Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Vladivostok ) using fossil prints [1] [2] .
