Biography
At 10, he moved with his family to Canada through Azerbaijan . In 2007, on the advice of his brother, in order to protect himself, he began to engage in boxing. Five times became the champion of Canada. In 2012, he participated in the World Youth Championship and entered it in the top ten, won several prestigious international tournaments. In 2015, he became the champion of the Pan American Games - the first Canadian boxer to have achieved such success since 1975.
At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, he was the only boxer to represent Canada [1] . In the second round Biyarslanov lost to the future bronze medalist of the competition, the representative of Germany Artyom Harutyunyan and took the final 9th place.
His amateur career amounted to 98 fights, of which Biyarslanov won 85. He won the Canadian championships five times and won 12 of the 17 international tournaments in which he participated. December 15, 2018 held the first fight in a professional ring . His opponent was the Mexican boxer Ernesto Cardona Sanchez. The Mexican approached the battle with Biyarslanov having 3 victories in 8 fights. Arthur Biyarslanov knocked out his opponent in the first round [2] .
