The State Society Mint ( Spanish Sociedad del Estado Casa de Moneda ) is a mint controlled by the government of Argentina and directly subordinate to the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Responsible for printing banknotes and minting coins as legitimate means of payment.

He is also responsible for printing stamps , passports , official forms and the production of medals . It was founded on September 29, 1875 , the first plant was launched on February 14, 1881 .
In 1927, the mint opened its museum , which stores documents, coins and stamps of great historical value.
