The village of Nikolskoye, Kolychevo Tozh, was first mentioned in the list of Vladimir scribal books of Prince Vasily Krapotkin in 1637 as the estate of the Kolychevs landowners. In the village there was the Church of the Most Holy Virgin Odigitrii with the chapel of St. Nicholas [2] .
At the end of the 19th century, a new stone church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God was built on the site of the old wooden church with the chapel of St. Nicholas. In the 1930s, the church was closed. In 2015, it was in a dilapidated state.

With the formation of the Klepikovsky District in 1919, the village became part of it.
Until 2017, it was part of the now-abolished Tyukovsky rural settlement [4] .
