Description
The skyscraper is located in the historical center, where there is practically no high-rise buildings. Although the first 9-story residential building in Ufa, built in 1962 [4] , is located across the road, the construction of a skyscraper had a significant effect on the panorama of the city - the tower became dominant against the background of low-rise buildings. She herself is attached to an old two-story red-brick building, where at the beginning of the 20th century the Second Mariinsky Women's School was located (not to be confused with the first ) - the city administration insisted on maintaining it. Thus, the skyscraper is a model of facadeism widely used in Ufa.
The building has streamlined shapes, its facade is lined with tinted glass and building panels of gray and brown colors. Architects tried to organically fit it into the surrounding space. The number of floors is 26 [4] ), one of which is technical [5] . According to the initial draft, the height was to be 96 meters [6] ; specially to overcome the hundred-meter milestone, an additional "slope" on the roof was added. At a height of 100.5 meters [7], the building was the tallest in Russia outside the Moscow Ring Road until 2003. Lost the status of the highest building in Ufa after the completion of the Idel Tower .
