(1255) Zhilova ( Latin Schilowa ) - an asteroid from the group of the main belt . It was discovered on July 8, 1932 at the Simeiz Observatory by the Russian ( Soviet ) astronomer Grigory Neuimin . It is named in honor of the employee (astronomer, determining the orbits of minor planets ) of the Pulkovo Observatory - M.V. Zhilova (1870-1934) [1] [2] [3] . The asteroid makes its full revolution around the Sun in 5.57 Julian years .
