Biography

Born in a family whose representatives for four generations were engaged in architecture and construction.

From 1902 to 1939 he worked in the bridge construction department of the Prague City Hall. Supporter of the construction of arched concrete and reinforced concrete bridge structures.

He made a significant contribution to creating the modern look of the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague. He worked closely with Vlastislav Hoffmann . He took an active part in the construction of a number of bridges across the river. Vltava in Prague, including:
