The body length reaches 47 centimeters. Sexual dimorphism is absent [1] . The plumage of the head and neck is gray. The front part of the head is slightly lighter up to a pale gray color. The bottom of the chest is pale gray. The top of the chest is dark gray. The belly is brownish. The back, nails and wings are dark olive green. The tail is dark and has a narrow strip at the end, varying in color from pale yellow to yellowish white [2] .
It lives on the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia. The natural habitat of this species is subtropical or tropical moist mountain forests.
This species usually keeps alone in the upper tier of trees. It rarely makes sounds and, along with discreet plumage, it is difficult to detect. Only the seeds of palm trees were recorded [1] . Nothing is known about the biology of reproduction.
