Geza Söcz ( Hungarian. Szőcs Géza ; August 21, 1953 , Tirgu Mures ) - Hungarian poet, playwright, essayist, statesman and public figure.

Biography
Geza Söch was born in 1953 in the Romanian city of Tirgu Mures . Father - Istvan Sech, journalist. Until 1979, he studied at the Cluj University named after Babesh - Boyai .
In 1986 he was forced to emigrate from Romania. From 1986 to 1989 he worked as a journalist in Geneva .
In 1990 he returned to the city of Cluj-Napoca . From 1990 to 1992 he was a deputy of the Romanian parliament from the Democratic Union of Hungarians of Romania .
From 1993 to 2010, he was editor of the Dunánál magazine in Hungary.
From 2010 to 2012 he was the Secretary of State for Culture of Hungary.
Married, has five children.
