OnePlus One is a smartphone of the Chinese company OnePlus , which positions it as a “flagship killer”. It was introduced on April 23, 2014 [1] .

The smartphone first became available for purchase on April 25, 2014 exclusively by special invites (invitations) on the OnePlus website. Invitations could be obtained by participating in various competitions. Starting April 20, 2015, devices are sold without invites [2] . It is worth noting that the Chinese version was initially on sale in China .

Inside the device there is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a clock frequency of 2.5 GHz, 3 GB of RAM, as well as a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels produced by Japan Display . For data storage there is 16 or 64 GB of internal memory without the possibility of expansion [1] . On the back there is a 13 MP camera from Sony with an Exmor IMX214 sensor, in addition, there is a front camera with a resolution of 5 MP.
The back cover of the smartphone is white or black, the manufacturer also offers special covers made of denim, Kevlar or bamboo (their manufacture was canceled due to quality problems [3] ).
Software
Outside of China, the device came with CyanogenMod 11S installed based on Android 4.4.4, while the Chinese version was based on Color OS based on Android 4.3 [1] . In addition to the additional functions added by the CyanogenMod firmware, the special version 11S also included various gestures that were recognized by the device even in standby mode [1] [4] .
April 4, 2015 OnePlus introduced OxygenOS and HydrogenOS firmware based on Android Lollipop , for installation outside and in China, respectively [5] . The CyanogenMod 12S update based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop became available on April 14, 2015 for all devices outside of China [6] [7] .
