"Rolan" is a Moscow cinema located on Chistoprudny Boulevard . Opened in 1999 , named after Rolan Bykov (one of the founders is the Roland Bykov Foundation). Included in the Five Stars network of the Paradise film company. Two halls: large (204 seats - 17 rows of 12 seats) and small (96 seats - 8 rows of 12 seats). The cinema was designed by architects Melik Karapetyan and Ara Miridzhanyan. Sound System - Dolby Digital Surround EX . According to the official website, Roland’s repertoire policy is based on a combination of mainstream and arthouse films.

The opening of the cinema took place in July 1999 as part of the 21st Moscow International Film Festival [1] , and over the next seven years (until 2006), Roland collaborated with the Moscow International Film Festival , providing its own halls for viewing films [2] . In the early 2000s, Roland was one of the few cinemas where new Russian films were shown on a regular basis [3] . It is the official site of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth and the Euphoria Minifest [4] [5] . In addition, "Roland" participated in the presentation of artists [6] , and in 2010 hosted the artkino festival "2morrow / Tomorrow" [7] .
