Flamingbird color beetle [1] ( lat. Dicaeum ignipectus ) is a songbird of the color beetle family living in Southeast Asia.

Description
The body reaches a length of 7 cm, weight 7-9 grams. The species is widely distributed in the Himalayan region (in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh) and in Southeast Asia (in Indonesia, China, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Malaysia and the Philippines). Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical wet lowland forests and subtropical or tropical wet mountain forests. Dwells in the upper tier of the forest. It feeds on mistletoe seeds. The nest of stalks and hair builds on trees. In laying 2-3 eggs. Both parents take care of brood [2] [3] .
