Biography
He was born in 1843 in the city of Spassk, in the Tambov province, in the Old Believer family of a hatter.
From childhood he worked - first for the owners, then started his own business, gained capital and settled in Moscow. Here he was engaged in trade and production, in particular, he owned the Moscow factory of photographic plates "Glory".
Yasashnov was widely known for his great public and charitable activities. In 1891, he became director of the Moscow Committee for Guardianship of Prisons. In 1896, Mikhail Fedorovich, together with the well-known archpriest Father John Kronshtadtsky, laid the foundation for the charity foundation "to assist photographers who lost their ability to work due to unfortunate circumstances or illness," which was established under the Russian Photographic Society [1] . In 1893-1908 he was the vowel of the Moscow City Duma ; in 1902 he was elected elected by the Moscow Merchant Society. For many years he was a member of the Duma charity prison committee, a member of the Society for Assistance to Needy Students of a Technical School, a member of the Lefortovo Guardianship of the Poor and other charitable institutions.

As an Old Believer, Yasashnov in 1908 organized in Moscow the Nikolsko-Rogozh Old Believer Community of Christians ( Beglopopovtsev ), which owned two churches - in the name of the Great Martyr Catherine (until 1910 he was on 56 Irininskaya Street; then he was transferred to Devkin Lane - now Bauman Street , 18) and St. Nicholas at the Khudyakov house (since 1912 it was located on Malaya Andronievskaya street, 15). [2] Mikhail Fedorovich set forth his thoughts about the future of the Old Believers in the work “Our Old Believers. His immediate tasks and main aspirations ”, published in 1908. Yasashnov was also a book publisher, with his support a lot of spiritual, moral, apologetic and liturgical literature was published.
He lived in Moscow in his own house in Messenger Lane, building number 4. He died on March 13, 1909 in Moscow. He was buried at the Rogozhsky cemetery . The obituary to M. F. Yasashnov was published in the journal Church , No. 12 for 1909).
