Jacobyana (lat.) - a genus of leaf beetles ( Chrysomelidae ) from the tribe of earthen fleas ( Alticini , Galerucinae ). 10 species [2] . Southeast Asia (Vietnam, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka) and Africa (3 species in Afrotropic): DRC (Congo), Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa.

Description
Small beetles (about 3 mm) are brownish-black in color with an oval-shaped body (almost semi-circular). Possess hopping hind legs with thickened hips. Antennae 11-segmented (3rd segment shorter than the first). 3rd segment of antennae almost equal in length to the 4th and 5th segments combined. Pronotum with a bristle-bearing pore near the middle of the lateral edge. They feed on plants [3] [4] .
