Hemipyxis (lat.) - a genus of leaf beetles ( Chrysomelidae ) from the tribe earthen fleas ( Alticini , Galerucinae ). About 30 species. Australia , East Palearctic , Africa , Southeast Asia . Small beetles (about 5 mm) are yellowish brown. Possess hopping hind legs with thickened hips. Antennae 11-segmented (3rd segment shorter than the first). Frontal rollers prolonged to clypeus. They feed on plants. Polyphages [3] [4] .
