Sonderkommand 1005
- 1942 . In the minutes of the Wannsee Nazi Conference, the plans for the mass extermination of Jews were called "the final solution of the Jewish question ", and deportation to the death camps was called "resettlement to the East."
- 1942 - 1944 . To hide the traces of the mass killings of Jews, the Nazis and their accomplices destroyed the graves in the death camps of Belzhets , Sobibor and Treblinka , as well as in other places. For this, a special operation Sonderaktion 1005 was conducted to exhume the graves and destroy the corpses.
- 1943 . In his speech in Poznan to the leaders of the SS, the Reichsfuhrer Heinrich Himmler noted that the extermination of Jews will be kept secret and will not be documented.

- 1947 . The French fascist Maurice Bardesh issued a pamphlet in which he wrote that the evidence of mass destruction was fabricated, people were dying in concentration camps due to hunger and disease, and also accused the Jews of fomenting war. American historian Harry Elmer Barnes wrote that the Allies unleashed World War II, and the Germans are unfairly accused of this.
- 1948 . The French socialist and former concentration camp inmate Paul Rassigne published the book Crossing the Line, where he wrote that the atrocities of the Nazis were greatly exaggerated and justified the persecution of Jews by the Germans. In 1949, he published The Lie of Ulysses with similar theses.
- 1955 . Willis Carto founded the influential ultra-right Freedom Lobby organization in Washington . The organization advocated for a “racially clean” United States, accused the Jews of all world problems, from 1969 until its bankruptcy in 2001, it published literature on Holocaust denial.
- 1959 . Anti-Semitic Publication by American Priest Gerald L.K. Smith, Cross and Flag. According to Smith, 6 million Jews were not killed, but emigrated to the United States.
- 1964 . Paul Rassigne published a book, The Drama of European Jewry , in which he claimed that gas chambers were a fiction of the Zionist elite.
- 1966 - 1967 . Harry Elmer Barnes has published a series of articles claiming that the Allies deliberately exaggerated Nazi atrocities to justify aggression against the Axis .
- 1969 . Noontide Press, a subsidiary of the Freedom Lobby, published the book The Myth of Six Million.
After 1970
- 1973 . Austin Epp, a professor of English literature at LaSalle University in Philadelphia, has published a pamphlet, The Deception of Six Million: Blackmailing the German People by the Shocking Number of Falsified Corpses.
- 1976 . Arthur Butz, a professor of engineering at Northwestern University, has published a book, The Fiction of the 20th Century: Against the Imaginary Destruction of European Jews . Butz was the first of the deniers to attempt to portray Holocaust denial as a strictly scientific study.
Ernst Zundel
- 1977 . Ernst Zündel , a German citizen based in Canada, created Samisdat Publishers, which publishes neo-Nazi literature, including Holocaust denial. In 1985, Zundel was brought to trial for disseminating knowingly false information.
- 1977 . The British historian David Irving published the book Hitler's War, in which he claimed that most of the prisoners of the Nazi concentration camps were not killed, but died from an epidemic of typhoid.
- 1978 . William McCulden and Willis Carto created the California History Revision Institute . The Institute has become a leading organization on Holocaust denial. Publications are disguised as academic studies.
- 1980 . The Institute for the Revision of History promised a reward of $ 50,000 to anyone who could prove the gas killing of Jews in Auschwitz . Mel Mermelstein, who survived the camp, presented his testimony to the Institute, and after refusing to pay, he won a lawsuit against the Institute. The court found the killing of Jews in Auschwitz by gas poisoning a fact.
- 1981 . A French court found literary professor Robert Forisson guilty of inciting hatred through "historical lies."
- 1985 . A Canadian court found teacher James Kigstra guilty of “intentionally inciting hatred against a particular group” in connection with propaganda of Holocaust denial and anti-Semitism among students.
- 1986 . On July 8, the Israeli parliament passed a law criminalizing Holocaust denial .
- 1987 . Bradley Smith and Mark Weber found the Holocaust Open Debate Committee . In the early 1990s, on behalf of the Committee, Smith organized an advertising campaign in more than a dozen newspapers in American colleges under the heading “The Holocaust History: What's Wrong?” The topic for wide discussion. ” Smith's campaign sparked widespread debate about the boundaries of free speech.
- 1987 . Jean-Marie Le Pen , leader of the extreme right-wing French National Front party, said that gas chambers were just a “trifle” on the scale of World War II . In the presidential election in France, Le Pen took 4th place.
- 1987 . The Swedish writer of Moroccan origin, Ahmed Rami, began broadcasting radio Islam in Sweden. The station describes the Holocaust as a Zionist fiction. The website contains the Protocols of the Zion of the Wise , Mine Kampf and other anti-Semitic texts.
- 1988 . At the request of Ernst Zündel, Fred Leichter conducts research on the ruins of the Auschwitz gas chambers blown up by the Germans. According to the results, he publishes the so-called Leichter report . According to this report, there are no traces of poison gas in the ruins. Chemists have pointed out Leuchter’s gross methodological errors that led him to incorrect conclusions.
- 1989 . Holocaust racist and denier David Duke won the Louisiana Legislature . He distributed Holocaust denial literature in his office.
- 1990 . After the state of Illinois introduced Holocaust study Ingeborg and Safet Sarich into the public school curriculum, they took their 13-year-old daughter from school and organized a protest campaign.
- 1990 . On July 13, the French Parliament passed the so-called Geissot Law , which disputes the scale or fact of crimes against humanity (as defined in the London Charter of 1945) is a criminal offense. This is the first legislative act in Europe explicitly prohibiting Holocaust denial.

- 2005 . Live on December 14, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad calls the Holocaust "a myth."
- 2006 . Iranian government sponsors Tehran Holocaust Denial Conference " Holocaust Survey: A Global Vision ."
- 2007 . On 26 January, the United Nations adopted a resolution condemning Holocaust denial. The General Assembly stated that denial is “tantamount to asserting genocide in all its forms”.
- 2007 . The European Union adopted a general law recognizing a crime of inciting hatred in relation to any group on the basis of color, race, nationality or citizenship. Holocaust denial is not explicitly mentioned in the law [1] .
- 2009 . The British Catholic Bishop Richard Williamson said that only 200-300 thousand Jews were killed in German concentration camps, and there were no gas chambers. The Vatican called on the bishop to reject this statement. [2]
- 2010 . Bradley Smith has launched an online Holocaust denial advertising campaign. The Internet is becoming the main medium for spreading the views of deniers.
