Dibolia

Dibolia (lat.) - a genus of leaf beetles ( Chrysomelidae ) from the tribe of earthen fleas ( Alticini , Galerucinae ). About 30 species in Africa are also known in other regions: Neotropics , Nearctic , Palearctic . Small beetles (about 5 mm) are greenish in color. Possess hopping hind legs with thickened hips. Antennae 11-segmented (3rd segment shorter than the first). The eyes are small, widely distant dorsally. Pronotum is transverse. The 1st segment of the hind tarsus is approximately 20% of the length of the hind tibia. They feed on Lamiaceae plants, as well as on Scrophulariceae , Asteraceae, and Apicaeae [2] .
