Club career
Marcelo Silva started his professional football career with the Danubio club, which is the representative of the Uruguayan football championship. During the first season, the young football player received enough playing practice to gain strength after speaking in the academy's youth team. The level of the Uruguayan football player was much higher than his teammates of his own age, because European clubs saw in Marcelo a very promising player who could suit them.
The Spanish club " Almeria " signed a contract with a Uruguayan footballer in the summer of 2010, after which he officially became his player [1] . For a year and a half, Marcelo Silva was at the location of the Almeria club, getting used to the new level of football and the new environment after leaving his native Uruguay. Despite the different levels of football in his home country and Spain, Marcelo Silva very confidently began to play in matches where he was given such an opportunity.
In February 2012, Marcelo Silva signed a lease agreement with the Peñarol club, under which he played for him until the summer of 2012 [2] . Silva spent this period of time quite productively, having entered the field in 11 matches of the temporary club and scoring 2 goals.
On August 1, 2014, Silva signed a one-year contract with the Las Palmas Segunda Club [3] .
July 22, 2015 Silva moved to Real Valladolid [4] .
On July 16, 2016, Silva signed a one-year contract with the Real Zaragoza club [5] .
On July 3, 2017, Silva signed a contract with the MLS club Real Salt Lake [6] [7] . In the American League, he debuted on July 22 in a match against Sporting Kansas City [8] [9] .

In 2009, Marcelo Silva entered the field 11 times and scored 1 goal in the Uruguayan youth team to 20 .
