Biography
A student of the scholastic Occam , in 1367 and 1371 a lecturer at the University of Paris.
At the University of Heidelberg founded by Rupert I , Marsilius was elected the first rector in 1386 (hence his nickname: lux et origo Heidelbergensis scholae ).
Marsilius left a significant number of theological, philosophical, and medical writings, of which the work Quaestiones in quattuor libros sententiarum received particular fame. Marsilius was a supporter of nominalism in Germany , where until then realism reigned. Marsily relied heavily on Aristotle .
Marsily Ingensky died on August 20, 1396 in the city of Heidelberg.
