Heat Flow
Heat flux is a vector whose absolute value is equal to the amount of heat passing through an isothermal surface per unit time; directed opposite to the temperature gradient . The heat flux through the isothermal surface of a unit area is called the heat flux density or specific heat flux, and in technology - the heat load [3] .
Units
The unit of measure for energy and heat flux in the International System of Units (SI) is a watt equal to one joule divided by one second . The unit of heat flux density in SI is W / m 2 .
