Jakub Hluchý ( German: Jakub Hluchý ; April 15, 1894 , Moravská Nova Ves - August 24, 1958 , Bratislava ) - Czechoslovak military, colonel of the Czechoslovak army, participant in the Second World War and the Slovak National Uprising.

Biography
Born April 15, 1894 in Moravsk-Nowe Ves. Parents: Cyril Glukhi and Veronika Glukhova (Matushkova). He studied at the gymnasium in Hodonin, in 1926 he graduated from the military academy in Hranice on Moravia. In the army since 1921, colonel (produced in 1949) of the Czechoslovak People's Army.
After the German attack on the USSR, he moved to Banska Bystrica , where he joined the leadership of the Victoire anti-fascist organization, which consisted of military opponents of the Nazi regime (he was there as an ordinary member from January 26, 1941 to August 28, 1944 ). He participated in the Slovak national uprising, was responsible for the supply of small arms and the commander of artillery units in the 1st Czechoslovak Army. From January 6 to February 23, 1945 he was in the prison of Banska Bystrica.
After the war, he wrote memoirs on the topic of anti-fascist resistance. He died on August 24, 1958 in Bratislava.
He was awarded the medal "For Merit" of the I degree (1945), the Order of the Slovak National Uprising, the medal "For Courage before the Enemy."
