Anoplius brown [1] , or pumped road [1] , or ordinary road wasp [2] ( Anoplius viaticus ) - a type of road wasp ( Pompilidae ).

Description
The body length in females is 9-14 mm, in males - 8-11 mm. The head and cephalothorax are black. Abdomen at base red, but with black posterior segments.
Females tear minks up to 8 cm deep in the sand with their front legs, and dug sand is thrown between the spread hind legs.
The species is common throughout the Palearctic . It lives in dry places with sandy soil. Flying from late April to early September. It feeds on nectar of flowers.
