Sphecius antennatus (lat.) Is a type of sandy sphecius genus from the subfamily Bembicinae (tribe Gorytini ). Palaearctic : from Europe to China and Mongolia. The wasps are of medium size (females 20-26 mm, males 15-21 mm). The body is black with a yellow pattern, the legs are light; hind thighs black. There are small concave areas on the posterior angles of the mesothorax. The medial vein of the posterior wing begins near the end of the anal cell. On the sides of the mesothorax, epicnemial keels are developed, connecting together in its lower part. Nest in the ground. Catch small tsikadok. The species was first described in 1877 by the Russian and Polish entomologist and General Octavius Ivanovich Radoshkovsky (1820–1895) [1] .
