When submitting documents (March 6, 1687) for the introduction of the genus in the Velvet Book , the genealogy of the Mikhnevs was provided [1] .
The Mikhnev family was included in the VI part of the genealogy books of the Moscow and Voronezh provinces.
Content
Genesis and history
The progeny of Elizaris (Fir-tree) Ivanovich, who left, according to the legends of ancient genealogists, to the Grand Duke John III Vasilyevich . Mikhnevs: Bogdan, Lavrentiy and Perfilius for service were granted letters and estates (1621) [2] .
Yermolay Ivanovich , nicknamed Istom, a nobleman of the embassy in Poland (1600), governor in Putivl (1605), was sent against the "thief Petrushka", and by order of the latter he was tortured by Cossacks. Ignatius Istomin governor in Livny (1614-1616), in Oskol (1617). Jacob Artemievich Mikhnev, a lawyer (1658-1676), steward (1680-1686), governor in Vyazma (1686) [3] .
Emblem Description
In the blue field of the shield, the sun (the Polish coat of arms of the Sun ), a golden crescent, with horns facing the left, is depicted in radiance, and between them on a silver strip is a spruce tree.
On the shield a noble crowned helmet. Crest : three ostrich feathers. The mark on the shield is blue, lined with gold. Shield holders : lion and unicorn . (Herbovnik IX, 40).
