Daniel Wittenbach (Daniel Albert Wyttenbach; 08/07/1746, Bern - 01/17/1820) - Dutch classic philologist. Professor of the Amsterdam Athenaeum (1771–99) and Leiden University (1799–1816). Foreign member of the French Academy of inscriptions and fine literature (1814).

His father was a professor of theology in Bern, and then in Marburg.
He studied in Marburg, then in Gottingen.
In 1769 he wrote his first work.
