Biography
Sergey Kiselev was born on July 19, 1960 in Kiev .
First declared himself in 1984, becoming the champion of the USSR in the program of quadruple kayaks at a distance of 500 meters - he won in the national team of the Ukrainian SSR, along with Sergey Chukhrai , Igor Gaydamak and Sergey Kirsanov . A year later, in a mixed experimental team with S. Golovko, Sergey Kolokolov and Alexander Myzgin, he won the gold medal in fours at ten kilometers.
He achieved his first serious success at an adult international level in 1986, when he became a member of the Soviet national team and, thanks to a series of successful performances, won the right to defend the honor of a country at the World Championships in Montreal in Canada. As part of the four-seater crew, which also included rowers Nikolai Oseledets , Grigory Medvedev and Alexander Akunishnikov , overtook all their rivals at a distance of 10,000 meters and thus won the gold medal.
For outstanding sporting achievements awarded the honorary title " Honored Master of Sports of the USSR " [1] .
