The commune is located approximately 690 km south of Paris , 195 km south of Bordeaux , 45 km south-west of Pau [1] .

The climate is warm oceanic [2] . Winters are mild, the average January temperature is from + 5 ° C to + 13 ° C, temperatures below –10 ° C are rare.
