Bo Sigfried Gabriel Lindman ( Swe. Bo Sigfrid Gabriel Lindman , February 8, 1899 - July 30, 1992) - Swedish military (retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel), pentathlete and fencer, Olympic champion, medalist of world championships.

Biography

Born in 1899 in Stockholm . In 1924 he became the champion of the Olympic Games in Paris in the modern pentathlon. In 1928, at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, he won a silver medal in modern pentathlon. In 1932, at the Los Angeles Olympics , he again won the silver medal in modern pentathlon; also took part in swords fencing competitions, but unsuccessfully. In 1933, he won the bronze medal of the International Fencing Championship in Budapest (in 1937, the International Fencing Federation retroactively recognized all previous International Fencing Championships as world championships).

In 1934-1946 he was chairman of the Swedish Athletics Federation. In 1949 he became treasurer of the International Pentathlon Union .
