Description
Small glitter wasps in light blue. Occipital carina absent, buccal grooves weak or absent. The pronotum is convex, short, about half as long (0.4-0.5) the combined length of the scutum, scutellum and methanotum combined. Male and female winged. Claws of paws with small median tooth. Parasitoids . The species Duckeia cyanea was bred from the eggs of the sticks of Prisopus ohrtmanni (Lichtenstein) ( Prisopodidae ). The genus was named in honor of the Brazilian entomologist and botanist Adolpho Ducke ( Adolpho Ducke ; 1876-1959), one of the first researchers of glossy wasps [1] .
