Thomas Howes ( born Thomas Howes , born 1986 , Woodlands [1] , near Doncaster , South Yorkshire , England ) is an English actor and musician [2] . Best known for the role of William Mason in the television series Downton Abbey .

Biography and career
Thomas Howes attended the Guildhall School of Music and Theater [3] .
Howes played the role of William Mason in the television series Downton Abbey (2010–12), as well as Mark Jones in the film United [4] [5] [6] . He participated in theatrical productions of the plays The Winslow Boy (Dickey) [7] and History Lovers (Scripps) [8] . He played the role of Winston Churchill in the television series Murdoch ’s Investigation [9] and Yashvin in the film Anna Karenina . In 2016, Howes appeared in the mini-series Houdini and Doyle as Constable Booth and in the mini-series Dark Angel as George Ward.
