“Opera to all” is an international opera festival, which takes place on the open areas of St. Petersburg : the Peter and Paul Fortress , Elagin Island , Alexander Park and the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo.

The artistic director of the festival is Fabio Mastrangelo , the art director is Viktor Vysotsky.
The first festival took place in July 2012 and is held annually with the support of the Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg.
Entrance to all performances is free. TV channel "St. Petersburg" organizes a live television broadcast of all the events of the festival.

The festival was held from 12 to 23 July. The festival included 4 operas by Russian composers. The festival ended with a gala concert at the Mikhailovsky Theater [1] . In 2012, the festival performances were visited by about 15 thousand people. [2]

II St. Petersburg International Festival 2013
The festival opened with Glinka's opera “Life for the Tsar”, which was timed to the 400th anniversary of the House of Romanov. It is symbolic that a performance took place in the very heart of St. Petersburg on the Cathedral Square of the Peter and Paul Fortress near the burial of the Romanov emperors.
In 2013, the 200-year-old jubilee for the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi was celebrated, the opera “Troubadour” was dedicated to this date. [2]
