Detinka ( Ukrainian: Ditinka ) is a hill in Kiev , which is a wedge-shaped spur of the Starokievskaya Mountain from Podol . On the north side, Detinka borders on the ancient tract Kozhemyaki , on the south - on the Gonachars , thus delimiting them [1] [2] .
Archeological monuments of the Zarubetsko-Korchevatsky culture were found on the mountain (middle of the 3rd century BC - I – II centuries BC).
According to archeology, it’s Detinka, and not the central Castle Hill, that claims the status of the annalistic “ Khorevitsa ” [3] .
Also, stratifications from the remnants of the material culture of the times of Kievan Rus were found , for example, the remains of a Christian cemetery of the 12th-13th centuries. Detinka is mentioned in numerous historical documents (in particular, in the “Audit of the Castle of Kiev”, XVI century) as an important link in the fortified part of the city - Detinets [1] [2] .
Currently - a conservation area [2] . Being a green area in the center of the city, Detinka has become a place of rest for Kiev residents - they often make barbecue and have picnics [4] .
