Biography

The daughter of a sales clerk. She graduated from the Ekaterinoslav Commercial School (1919), worked in the editorial office of the newspaper and the Zvezda magazine. Since 1920 a member of the RCP (b) .

In 1920-1923 she studied at the Communist University. Ya. M. Sverdlova (lecture group), in 1925-1930 - at the Institute of Red Professors (in the seminar of M. N. Pokrovsky ). Since 1923, in pedagogical, party and scientific work:

  • 1923-1925 history teacher, lecturer at the Gubsovpartshkol and at the labor school in Tula, 1925-1930 - at the Communist University. Sverdlov and the International Lenin School, in 1928-1930, an assistant professor at the pedagogical and economic faculties of Don University , gave a course of lectures on Leninism.
  • 1930-1935 lecturer of the Central Committee of the CPSU (B.) In Gorky, Ivanovo, Saratov and Stalingrad.
  • 1935-1941 researcher at the secretariat of the Main Edition of the History of the Civil War of the Political Publishing House .
  • 1938-1941 teacher, professor MIFLI .
  • 1941-1942 (in evacuation) professor at the Chelyabinsk Medical Institute .
  • 1942-1945 at the Commission on the History of the Great Patriotic War under the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
  • 1945-1949 Senior Researcher, Institute of History, USSR Academy of Sciences . She lost her position as a result of the "fight against cosmopolitanism . "
  • 1949-1958 professor of the Department of History of the USSR (1943-1953), history of the USSR of the Soviet period (1953-1958), Faculty of History, Moscow State University .
  • since 1958, senior research fellow ; since 1972, senior research fellow, consultant, Institute of History, USSR Academy of Sciences.

Doctor of Historical Sciences (1939), degree awarded for the book "The Fight for Tsaritsyn in 1918." Professor (1939).

She was buried at the Don cemetery .
