Division Creation
The 106th Air Defense Fighter Division was formed on December 16, 1941 by the Order of the NPO of the USSR.
Renaming a Division
On October 8, 1950, the 106th Fighter Aviation Division of the Air Defense Force was reorganized into the 50th Fighter Aviation Division of the Air Defense of the 64th Fighter Aviation Corps .
