The offspring of Eric Larsson Armfeld ( Swede. Eric Larsson Armfeld ), a lieutenant of the cavalry, whom the Swedish Queen Christina elevated to the nobility on July 20, 1648.

With the diploma of the Swedish King Fredrick I , dated July 6, 1731, Lieutenant General Karl-Gustav Armfelt was elevated with descending descendants to the baronial dignity of the Kingdom of Sweden.

The lineage of his descendants: Lieutenant Colonel Augustus-Philippe and the fleet of captain-lieutenant Friedrich Baron Armfelt was included, on January 18/30, 1818, in the matrix of the Knighthood of the Grand Duchy of Finland, in the number of baronial clans, under number 13.

In 1812, Baron Gustav-Moritz Armfelt , member of the state council, general from infantry, was elevated to the count dignity of the Grand Duchy of Finland. By the definition of the Governing Senate of 1863, his son, Vladimir Armfelt, with his son Alexander was approved in counting dignity. The genus is included in the Matrix of the Knighthood of the Grand Duchy of Finland and in the V part of the Genealogy book of St. Petersburg province.

Emblem Description

Coat of arms of the nobility Armfelt: in a golden field emerging from the left from the cloud, a hand in armor holds a pistol.

On the shield a noble crowned helmet. Crest: the outgoing arm in armor holding the gun, and on the sides are two banners, of which the right is gold and the left is blue. The bait on the shield is gold, enclosed in blue.
