History
As part of the program to create a Unified Automated Control System for the Armed Forces of Ukraine [7] , it was decided to develop a command post vehicle based on a wheeled armored personnel carrier.
The manufacture of the first machine was completed by early June 2012 [2] . Later, during the tests, the design of the machine was made several times, and on March 23, 2015, a modernized model was presented (with enhanced crew protection and the ability to use WiMAX and WiFi ) [5] .
March 26, 2015 the first command post was transferred to the troops [8]
In 2018, the armored vehicle was included in the product catalog of the Ukroboronprom concern [9] .
In August 2019, the General Directorate of Communications and Information Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced its intention to upgrade the Soviet BTR-70KSH command and control vehicles (based on the BTR-70) to the K-1450 command and control vehicles (based on the BTR- 70-DI-02).
Description
KShM provides management of units at the battalion level [4] .
In the manufacture of serial BMM-70, the armored corps of the Soviet armored personnel carrier BTR-70 is used , however, the internal volume of the hull is increased [3] .
On the armored vehicles of the first batch transferred to the armed forces of Ukraine, there is no armament, but the seat for installing the KPVT machine gun was preserved [4] .
The armored vehicle was equipped with radio equipment manufactured by Telecart-Pribor LLC [2] [10] , the Tucha smoke curtain system , air conditioning and heater [4] , as well as new KI-113 tires [9] .
