Story
The film tells about the life of the Chilean folk singer and artist Violeta Parr : her hard childhood in conditions of extreme poverty, traveling around the country in the company of numerous relatives to collect folk songs and perform at local holidays, a trip to Poland for a youth festival, meeting with a Swiss musician Gilbert Favre and their life together in Paris, where the exhibition of her works of art, the organization of the folklore center at home and suicide, which she made after the break with Gilbert, took place. The film sounds a lot of songs Violeta Parra performed by actress Francisco Gavilan.
