Passeroptes lioparis (lat.) Is a species of acariform ticks of the family Dermationidae ( Analgoidea ) from the order Astigmata . Found in Southeast Asia: China , Yunnan . Parasites on birds , such as the passerine Lioparus chrysotis (Blyth) ( Thick-billed tits , Paradoxornithidae , genus Lioparus ). The length of the females is 0.157-0.170 mm (width - 0.120-0.130), the length of males is 0.150-0.165 mm (width - 0.110-0.115). The species was first described in 2015 by Chinese acarologists (Ning Mu, Xi-Jun Kuang, Huai Liu & Zi-Ying Wang, Institute of Entomology, Southwest University , Chongqing , China ) [1] .
