Octrois (from lat. Auctor ) - in the Middle Ages, fees (internal taxes ) levied on the importation of goods into feudal , urban areas. Octrois also called the privileges of monopolistic trading companies of the XVI-XVIII centuries. In the XIX century canceled in most countries as a result of the creation of a single domestic market.
