History

It is first mentioned in the scribe books of the Shelonsky Pyatina of 1498, as several villages of Hvoshchno near the lake of Hvoshensky or Svyatsky, in the Frolovsky graveyard of the Novgorod district [2] .

On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F.F. Schubert in 1834, near the Svyatsky Lake, the village of Khvoshnya is indicated, consisting of 25 peasant households and the Voskresenskaya estate with it, as well as another village of Khvoshnya and the village of Malaya Khvoshnya [3] .

According to the map from the “Historical Atlas of the St. Petersburg Province” of 1863, the village was called Hvoshnya , near the village was Voskresenskaya Manor [8] .

In 1865, temporarily liable peasants of the village of Khvoshnya bought their land allotments from F. Ya. Mirkovich and became the owners of the land [9] .

In 1869-1870, temporarily liable peasants bought their land allotments from N. I. Navrotsky [10] .

The compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described it like this:

HVOSHNO (HVOLNO) - the former owner's village at Lake Khvoschensky, yards - 48, residents - 235; Orthodox church, chapel, 2 windmills. (1885 year) [11]

According to the statistics on the national economy of the Luga district of 1891, the Bolshaya Khvoshnya manor with an area of ​​227 acres belonged to the tradesman P.V. Nakhtman, the manor was acquired in 1879 for 4750 rubles, it had a water mill and a small orchard. In addition, the estate of Khvoshnya belonged to the captain of the 1st rank P. I. Spitsyn, the estate was acquired until 1868 [12] .

In the 19th century, the village administratively belonged to the Podmosh volost of the 6th zemsky district, the 2nd camp of the Luga district of St. Petersburg province, and at the beginning of the 20th century - the 4th camp.

According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village of Hvoshno (Hvoshnya) at Lake Hvoshchensky was part of the Hvoshchensky rural community, 231 tithes of land in the village belonged to Lieutenant Colonel Konstantin Ivanovich Sinitsyn [13] .

From 1917 to 1928, the village was part of the Khvoshchnovsky village council of Podmoshskaya (1917-1923), Tursky (1923-1927) and Utorgoshsky (1927) volosts of the Luga district.

Since November 1928 - as part of the Konezersky Village Council of the Luga District. In 1928, the population of the village was 245 people [14] .

According to 1933, the village of Khvoshno was part of the Konesersky village council of the Luga region [15] .

From August 1, 1941 to January 31, 1944, the village was under occupation.

In 1958, the village had a population of 48 [14] .

According to 1966, the village of Hvoshno was part of the Gorodets village council [16] .

According to the data of 1973 and 1990, the village of Khvoshno was part of the Volodarsky village council [17] [18] .

According to 1997, the village was called Khvoshino , it belonged to the Volodarsky volost, 9 people lived in it, in 2002 - 7 people (all Russians) [19] [20] .

In 2007, 10 people lived in the village of Hvoshno Volodarsky SP [21] .

Geography

The village is located in the southern part of the district on the Konezerye - Hvoshno highway, south of the 41K-685 highway (Konezerye - Svyatye ).

The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 7 km [21] .

The distance to the nearest Luga railway station is 33 km [16] .

The village is located on the southern shore of the Holy Lake.
