Biography

The son of a musician. Until 1939 he studied law at the University of Warsaw . Member of the Second World War. He served in the navy, with the ships of the Polish Navy went to England. Had a wound. At the end of the war, he was a referent for the General Staff for Youth Affairs.

In 1948, demobilized. Engaged in business. He participated in the public life of the Poles in exile. He worked in the executive bodies of the national unity movement.

In 1976-1986 - Prime Minister , and since 1979 - simultaneously Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Poland in exile

In 1986-1989 - President of Poland (in exile).

Died of a heart attack. Buried at the London Gunnersbury Cemetery.
