Biography
Anatoly Ivanovich Safronov was born on June 22, 1922 in the village of Lovtsy (now the Lukhovitsky district of the Moscow region ). He graduated from seven classes of the school and the Egorievsky Machine-Tool College. With the outbreak of World War II, Safronov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He was sent to study at the artillery-anti-aircraft school LATUZA , which was evacuated to Tomsk . He graduated from the school in 1942 as a gun crew commander. Then the command sent A.I. Safronova to command courses. In January 1943, he graduated from the Omsk Military Anti-aircraft Searchlight School, and was sent to the Front Army with the rank of artillery lieutenant. As part of the anti-aircraft artillery division, he fought on the Stepnoy and Voronezh fronts. He participated in the battles on the Kursk Bulge - in the Belgorod and Kharkov directions, fought on the legendary Prokhorovskoye field as part of the RGK division (reserve of the main command). During the attack on Poltava , in the region of Bogodukhov , he was seriously wounded. He was treated in the evacuation hospital in Saratov . In March 1944, after treatment, he was dismissed (demobilized) from the ranks of the Red Army for health reasons.
After demobilization, he worked as a military instructor at school [1] .
Since 1946 he worked in the gas industry of the USSR , was the head of the mechanical workshops of the 6th Gavrilovsky district department of the Moscow department of gas pipelines of the Saratov-Moscow gas pipeline, then he headed this department. In 1960 - 1964, Safronov headed the Transcaucasian Directorate of Main Gas Pipelines and the Directorate for the Construction of the Mozdok-Ordzhonikidze-Tbilisi Gas Pipeline, then for nine years served as Deputy Head of the Capital Construction Directorate of the Moscow Directorate of Gas Pipelines [1] .
From 1973 to 1985, Safronov worked as the head of the Moscow Directorate of Gas Pipelines and at the same time the director of the Moscow gas transportation and supply association Mostranzgaz of the USSR Ministry of Gas Industry. This production association united about 40 structural divisions, where about 10 thousand workers worked. Safronov Association served 19 regions of the USSR, organizing the supply of gas to hundreds of settlements [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 27, 1982, for "outstanding production achievements, early fulfillment of plans and socialist obligations of 1981, and manifested labor prowess," Anatoly Ivanovich Safronov was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Hammer medal [1] .
In 1985, Safronov retired. He lived in Moscow [1] .
He was awarded two orders of Lenin, orders of the October Revolution , World War 1 degree, the Red Banner of Labor , a number of medals [1] .
