Biography
Ivan Vasilievich Vologdin was born on February 14, 1840 (according to church metrics) in the Ochersky factory (now the city of Ocher ) of the Ohan district of the Perm province in the family of the Stroganov servant V. Ya. Vologdin. In 1856 he graduated from a factory school, then he studied independently. The teacher Fyodor Afanasevich Pryadilshchikov , who then lived in Ocher, had a great influence on the formation of his interests. He worked for the Stroganovs in the Ochersky factory office. Then he turned to zemstvo activity: he was a vowel of the Okhansky district zemstvo assembly , a member of the Perm provincial zemstvo council (since 1877 ). He was a member of the Perm provincial scientific archival commission and other scientific and educational societies. He published a number of articles on the history and ethnography of the Perm Territory mainly in the newspaper "Perm Provincial Gazette." He died in Perm on January 31, 1895 . [1] [2]
