Shereshevskaya, Rena Midhat kyzy

Rena Midhat kyzy Shereshevskaya (nee Mustafabeyli ; born June 17, 1954 , Baku ) is a Russian-French pianist and music teacher of Azerbaijani origin.

Biography

Daughter of Midhat Agabek oglu Mustafabeyli (Midhat Agabekovich Mustafabeyli) - head of the Department of Geology and Mineral Resources under the Council of Ministers of the Azerbaijan SSR, then the State Production Geological Committee of the Azerbaijan SSR. Brother - Ali Mithadovich Mustafabeyli (born 1948), Russian diplomat, consul in Afghanistan and Iran [1] .

She graduated from the Bul-Bul Secondary Specialized Music School in Baku, and then the Moscow Conservatory (1977) in piano, Lev Vlasenko , then for two years she studied at the graduate school. Focusing mainly on teaching, she taught at the Central Music School for 11 years. In 1991-1993 headed the piano department of the M. Ippolitov-Ivanov Higher School of Music .

In 1990, at the invitation of Vladimir Spivakov, she began teaching at the summer academy of the International Music Festival in Colmar , since 1993 also at the Colmar Conservatory. He is currently a professor at the Rueil-Malmaison Regional Conservatory and the Alfred Cortot Paris Normal School of Music ; her most famous students are the winner (1st prize and Grand Prix) of the 16th P.I. Tchaikovsky International Competition (2019) Alexander Kantorov [2] and attracted wide attention of specialists and students during the XV International P.I. Tchaikovsky Competition Tchaikovsky (2015) Luke Debarg , who received the 4th prize.

Continuing the concert, she performs mainly as an ensemble - with singer Lyudmila Slepneva and as part of the Impromptu piano trio with Victor Dernovsky and Urmas Tammik.

Family

  • Her husband is Oleg Vladimirovich Shereshevsky, candidate of technical sciences (1972) [3] , head of international projects of the Russian Association of Medical Physics, music manager [4] .
    • Daughter - pianist and opera singer (mezzo-soprano) Victoria Shereshevskaya (born 1983) [5] .
