Biography
Born in 1924 in the village of Veleti near Danilovgrad. Until 1941, he was engaged in agriculture. Member of the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia since 1940 . At the front of the People’s Liberation War since 1941, participated in the July 13 uprising and the assault on Danilovgrad . Since 1942 he served in the 5th proletarian Montenegrin shock brigade as a courier at headquarters.
He participated in the Battle of Sutjesk in 1943 and, among a group of partisans led by Savoy Kovachevich, broke through the encirclement. The moment Sava was struck to death by the line, Veselin led the guerrilla column, but he himself was mortally wounded a moment later.
By decree of Josip Broz Tito of November 27, 1953 he was posthumously awarded the Order and the title of People's Hero of Yugoslavia.
