Biography
He began his career in 1937 as a livestock technician in the Starobeshevsky district department. He served in the ranks of the Red Army from 1938 to 1945. He was a Red Army soldier, then the commander of a separate artillery battalion, a foreman of an engineering and combat engineer battalion.
In 1945 he returned to his native collective farm, where he worked as a collective farmer, then as a party organizer of the collective farm. In 1947 he was elected chairman of the Zarya collective farm.
I.P. Lomako was a talented leader and educator, selflessly worked on the transformation of a collective farm and a village. The collective of the farm he heads has consistently for many years achieved high grain and vegetable yields, livestock productivity, and several times was a participant in VDNH.
