Eyyub Jafar oglu Fataliev ( azerb. Əyyub Cəfər oğlu Fətəliyev ; November 7, 1925 , Erivan - April 21, 2000) - Azerbaijani Soviet theater artist, Honored Art Worker of the Azerbaijan SSR (1964).

Biography
Eyyub Jafar oglu Fataliev was born on November 7, 1925 in the city of Erivan, Armenian SSR . In 1944 he graduated from the Azerbaijan State Art College named after A. Azimzade . In 1952 he graduated from the Moscow Art Institute named after V.I. Surikov . Since 1953 he was a member of the CPSU [1] .
From 1952 to 1955, Fataliev worked at the USSR Bolshoi Theater in Moscow . From 1955 to 1957 he was a graphic designer of the Azerbaijan Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.F. Akhundov . Since 1957 he was the main artist of this theater [1] .
Eyyub Fataliev designed the scenery for such operas as Daishi (1956, Zakhary Paliashvili ), Azad, The Fate of Hanande (1957, 1979, Jakhangir Dzhakhangirov ), Seville (1959, Fikret Amirov ), Korogly [1959, (1975, together with Tahir Salakhov ), Uzeyir Hajibeyov ], “ Aida ”, “ La Traviata ”, “ Othello ” (1961, 1972, 1982, Giuseppe Verdi ), “ Prince Igor ” (1964, 1975, Alexander Borodin ) , “ Boris Godunov ” (1966, Modest Mussorgsky ), “ The Queen of Spades ” (1968, Pyotr Tchaikovsky ), “Aigun” (1973, Zakir Bagirov ), etc. [1]
Fataliev’s works are distinguished by national color, vivid imagery and rigor in the selection of fine arts. Among the works of Fataliyev, in addition to the above, one can also mention Asli and Kerem by Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Ashik Garib by Zulfugar Hajibeyov , Vagif Ramiz Mustafayev , Demon by Anton Rubinstein , and the ballet Gulshan by Soltan Hajibeyov [2] .
In 1964 Eyyub Fataliev was awarded the title of Honored Art Worker of the Azerbaijan SSR. He was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor [1] .
